Chairman Parks called the meeting to order at 7:01 PM. Chairman Richard Parks, Greg Dalling, Vice-Chair, Bob Fuhrmann, Secretary/Treasurer, Director Beth Taylor and Admin Manager Bush were present. Director Klein attended via Zoom. There were no members of the public present.
Administrative Manager Bush presented the March meeting minutes. Director Taylor moved to approve the March minutes. Vice-Chair Dalling seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed. Administrative Manager Bush presented the current expenses and financial reports for the month. In Old Business, Chairman Parks updated the Board on his attendance at the recent Gardiner Chamber of Commerce meeting. Next week he will attend the Resort Tax Associations first Finance Committee meeting. Admin Manager Bush updated the Board regarding the Chamber’s intent to lease the parking lot from the National Park Service. President Mike Skelton explained it as being needed – the Chamber is charge of maintaining the parking lot yet has no authority to police it. Such a lease would help with that. He is asking that the Resort Tax Board consider adding language to the Ordinance outlining the parking lot as part of the Resort Tax district.
Next, the Board discussed the possible changes to the Ordinance and acknowledged that extending the boundary would be a large undertaking on everyone’s part. Pros and Cons were discussed, with no decisions being made. The Board discussed timelines for completing all the necessary steps and the possibility of hiring a facilitator to handle the public meetings. The Board anticipates public meetings to begin in September 2024; in the meantime, the annual Spring letter will mention it as will the website once it can be updated. Future meeting dates will include: 5/14, 6/11, 7/9, 8/13, 9/10, 10/8, 11/12, 12/10 and 1/14. The final draft Ordinance language will be due to Park County by 2/10/2025.

The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at 7:00 PM at the Gardiner Chamber. Secretary/Treasurer Fuhrmann moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:24 PM. Director Taylor seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.
