Minutes of the Regular Meeting – September 13, 2022
Chair Parks called the meeting to order at 7:01 PM. Richard Parks, Chairman, Greg Dalling, Vice-Chair, Bob Fuhrmann, Secretary/Treasurer, Director Klein, and Director Taylor were all in attendance; Admin Manager, Barbara Bush was present. No members of the public were in attendance.
Administrative Manager Bush presented the August meeting minutes. Director Klein moved to approve the August minutes. Secretary/Treasurer Fuhrmann seconded the motion. A discussion was held concerning the armory business. It was decided that the minutes recorded the action, and no notification would be posted to the District’s website. All voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed. Administrative Manager Bush presented the current expenses and financial reports for the month. Secretary/Treasurer Fuhrmann moved to approve the current expenses and financial reports. Director Taylor seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.
In Old Business, Vice-Chair Dalling updated the Board on his discussion with Josh Wells from the Gardiner Water & Sewer District. The Water District is working with Park County to determine actual boundaries for the Water District – especially concerning the Park Street parking area. Admin Manager Bush updated the Board on the list of possible accountants. Requests for proposals from all in the Bozeman area will be sent out. Admin Bush will also contact Betsy Griffing, prior legal counsel for recommendations for replacements. Admin Manager Bush updated the Board on how collections were going. As of August 31st, approximately $170,500.00 has been collected; this is a significant decrease from previous seasons due to the entrance closure for Yellowstone. Finally, a discussion was held concerning the District’s website design and changes were suggested. Director Klein will be working to update it.
In New Business, Admin Bush provided the Board with an update on appropriations ending December 31, 2022. Several rollover requests are expected for projects not completed due to the June flood event. Fall meeting dates were clarified to be the following: October 11th, November 7th, and December 6th. These will be posted along with appropriation application deadlines.
There was no public comment. The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 11th at 7:00 PM at the Gardiner Visitor Center. Vice-Chair Dalling moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:19PM. Director Taylor seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.
