Chairman Parks called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM. Chairman Richard Parks, Vice-Chair Dalling, Secretary-Treasurer Fuhrmann, Director Klein, Director Taylor and Admin Manager Bush were present. Tammy Dalling was a member of the public in attendance.
Chairman Parks explained the purpose of the meeting – to formally approve the language of the resolutions to go on the May ballot. Secretary/Treasurer Fuhrmann moved to approve the Resolution 2025-1 language and ballot initiative, extending the Resort Tax for a term of 20 years. Vice-Chair Dalling seconded the motion. A discussion was had concerning the language, the 3% and 4% differences, the effective date of January 1, 2026, and the public meetings required before the May vote. All voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.
Next, Director Taylor moved to approve the Resolution 2025-2 language and ballot initiative, adding the months of May and October to collection of the tax. Director Klein seconded the motion. No further discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.
There was no public comment.
The next regular Board meeting held will be on February 11th at 7:00 PM at the Gardiner Chamber of Commerce. Vice-Chair Dalling moved to adjourn at 7:19PM. Secretary/Treasurer Fuhrmann seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.
